1101 Season Premiere
Kick off a great season of outdoor television programming with today’s “Cabin Country.”  Today’s program features excerpts from some of the great shows that will be coming up this year’s series.  Enjoy looks at turkeys, shotgunning, waterfowl, deer, bear, caribou and all types of upland game.  It’s a look at outdoor pursuits throughout the year!

1102 The Game Fair
Everyone knows that Kansas is famous for it’s excellent hunting grounds.  This week’s episode of Cabin Country will show you just why it will remain one of the top hunting destinations for the serious outdoorsman.  Mike Murphy’;s Game Fair offers something for the whole family, and in doing so, brings the family together.  Although this is not the usual Cabin Country, it will bring to it’s viewers a greater understanding about the importance of protecting our proud outdoor heritage.  This week’s inspirational show could be the spark that ignites other communities across the country to begin an outdoor event of their own.

1103 Pheasants and Food Plots
Join Bill Saiff III and Marc Murphy as they travel to the Hunnewell Hunt Club in Hunnewell, Kansas.  Alan Helzel (owner of the hunt club) introduced the boys to some great pheasant hunting action and shares his knowledge on food plots and habitat management.

1104 Ungava Bulls
On today’s program, Bill gets behind the camera and films hunting companion Blaine Carter as he pursues Quebec Caribou.  The guys are hunting with Sammy Cantafio’s Ungava Adventures and the migration is in full swing.  This fascinating show also highlights Lake Trout fishing and Ptarmigan hunting.

1105 Watershed Geese & Ducks
Join host Bill Saiff III as he travels to the Midwest on this week’s edition of the program.  Late season waterfowling is the topic as Bill and guests explore watershed properties and river currents as congregation points for late season ducks and geese.

1106  FITASC
Bill welcomes Bill And Frieda Lancaster at the Claythorne Lodge in Southeast Kansas, along with Brian Tanner, an international FITASC referee from Britain.  They've met to experience the French game of  FITASC, developed by French hunters as a means to shoot during the summer months.  Shooters compete from several firing stations on as many as five traps, with up to six groups competing at one time.

1107 Teal Time
Cheyenne Bottoms is a world class waterfowl refuge.  Today, Bill is joined by Marc Murrell of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks on an exciting hunt for Blue-winged Teal.  Marc and Bill discuss Cheyenne Bottoms, retrievers, calling and the differences between decoying and pass shooting Teal.

1108 Southern Swing
Today’s “Cabin Country” isn’t a dance, but we are doing a duet with the ducks.  Veteran callmaker Rod Haydel joins Bill today in his home state of Louisiana for duck hunting action.  Rod and Bill share a variety of tips that will help to put more ducks in your bag curing tough hunting conditions.

1109  Tundra Ptarmigan
Veteran dog trainer and handler Blaine Carter brings his German Short-haired Pointers to the tundra of Quebec.  Willow Ptarmigan are the quarry on this edition of “Cabin Country.”  Tune in for some unusual and exciting upland action.

1110 Rattlesnake Whitetails
Bill joins Fred Neier (Rattlesnake Creek Outfitters) on a muzzleloader hunt for White-tailed deer.  Fred’s Whitetail properties are some of the best in the nation, and he puts Bill in the middle of the action
.  It’s late September, the bucks are in bachelor groups, and it’s the muzzleloading season.  Tune in and see an incredible number of wild White-tailed bucks.

1111 Waterfowler Reunion IX
Bill is joined by waterfowling friends Randy and Jerry Sherman.  The gang has been hunting ducks together for over 10 years.  Tune in as this trio shares their knowledge of the sport with viewers.  This program highlights tips, techniques and great duck hunting action.

1112 Bears & Eyes
Bill travels to Quebec this week in search of Black Bear and Walleye.  Canadian guide Francois Poirier is Bill’s gues as they use floating jig heads for bottom hugging Walleye and field test the new Ithaca Model 37 for Black Bear.

1113 Kansas Cacklers
The cackling Ring-necked Pheasant is center stage during this week’s edition of “Cabin Country.”  Bill and shooting professional Mike Murphy join Fred Neier (Rattlesnake Creek Outfitters) for some exciting upland adventure.  There are plenty of birds and some great shooting instruction along the way.

1114 For Whom the Ducks Toll
Total commitment from incoming flocks of ducks is what veteran waterfowlers strive for.  To witness this magic, it takes a precise blend of set-up and calling.  The show features some of the most amazing Mallard footage ever.  Tune in as Rod Haydel, Greg Pickett and Bill make ‘em toll!

1115 An Arctic Adventure Part II
Bill is back at Bobby’s Lake this week with Arctic Adventures.  The Ungava region of Quebec plays host to huge migrations of the Quebec Labrador caribou and the “Cabin Country” crew finds itself right in the middle of the action.  Veteran Outdoor writer Bob McNitt joins Bill as they spend a week in the Tundra.

1116 Turkey Talkin’ & Taxidermy
Greg Ielfield is one of the nation’s leading Wild Turkey taxidermists.  Join Bill and Greg as they take a look at some of Greg’s championship mounts.  Greg is also an expert turkey hunter, and he and Bill team up on some of the big longbeards in Lewis County, New York.

1117 Flight Lessons
Shooting proficiency makes our days afield more enjoyable.  Using a sporting clays facility to hone our shooting skills makes perfect sense.  Shooting instructor Jeff Oakes (Flint Oak) takes to the range with Bill as they look over a variety of clay target presentations.  The guys draw the parallels between clay shooting and bird shooting so the viewer should gain some valuable shotgunning tips!

1118 Offshore Divers
Travel to the eastern basin of Lake Ontario in this week’s adventure.  Diving Ducks (Bufflehead) are the quarry as Bill and guest (David Warner) discuss the waterfowling techniques of veteran watermen in the Atlantic Flyway.

1119 The Parsons Buck
Taxidermist, John Parsons, has been featured on “Cabin Country” in the past.  Today he joins Bill near Greensburg, Kansas, as they pursue trophy Whitetails during muzzleloader season.  Today’s program is a study in big buck behavior.  Later, Bill field tests the Ithaca Model 37 DSII on a management hunt in upstate New York.  This is a great deer program!

1120 Bobwhite Bonanza
Sam and Frieda Lancaster own and operate Claythorne lodge.  Bill joins them this week to pursue Bobwhite Quail on the grounds at Claythorne.  Tune in as we feature pointing dogs and a gamebird species that can humble even the best shooters.

1121 Gobbler Getters
Today’s “Cabin Country” is a lesson in turkey behavior.  Gobblers answering and running to the cal is the exception, not the rule.  Tune in and see a variety of set-ups, learn about the calls, learn about turkey behavior and what factors influence their moves.  This show is a must see for daily success in the turkey woods.

1122 Mallards on the Ninnescah
Gray Miller is a legend in south/central Kansas and his stretch of ground along the Ninnescah river holds plenty of ducks.  Bill joins Gray this week to hunt one of his river blinds and to field test Haydel’s new “Timber Cutter” duck call.  Great dog work, decoy patterns and loads of laughs are coming your way in this week’s “Cabin Country.”

1123 The Shotgun Bull
The wilds of northern Quebec are legendary for trophy Caribou.  Outfitter Sammy Cantafio specializes in hunting this tundra region.  Join Bill and guide Luc Dionne as they employee the Ithaca Model 37 shotgun as they pursue the big bulls of the Ungava.

1124  The Hills of Flint Oak
The hills of Flint Oak are filled with a variety of upland bird species.  Travel with the “Cabin Country” team as they head to south/east Kansas and this legendary shooting facility.  This program is filled with action on Pheasant and Quail.

1125  A Southern Duck Combo
Arkansas and Louisiana are hotspots for waterfowling activity.  Join “Cabin Country” host Bill Saiff III as he looks at gunning these two destinations.  This program will feature footage from the marsh, timber and field.
